The author considers the existing mechanism of protection of exclusive rights to intellectual property by customs authorities, investigates its legal framework and identifies directions for improvement of this mechanism. The article characterizes the customs’ registry of intellectual property of FCS of Russia, which is the basis of the mechanism under consideration and is currently being reformed under the Customs Union.
